| Description : | Decumbent herbs, rooting at nodes, branches slender, 4-angled. Leaves opposite, 1.5-3 x 0.2-0.4 cm, scabrous, linear-oblong or linear-lanceolate, acute at apex, cuneate at base; petiole to 3 mm long. Flowers pink in terminal up to 7 cm long spikes; bracts 4 mm long, linear, obtuse, margins scarious; bracteoles similar to bracts but narrow. Calyx deeply 4-partite, linear, obtuse, margin scarious. Corolla 8 mm long, glabrous; upper lip 4 mm long, 2-fid; lower lip 5 mm long and broad, sub orbicular, minutely 3-lobed. Capsule 8 mm long, oblong, acutely pointed at apex, glabrous; seeds 4, 2 mm across, reticulately rugose. | |||||||||||||
