Description : Erect, annual, white-pubescent herbs. Leaves opposite or alternate, 1.5-4.5 x 1-2 cm, ovate or elliptic-lanceolate, base attenuate, margins distantly serrate, apex acuminate, densely whitish pubescent on both surfaces; petiole to 2 cm long. Capitula 1-flowered, aggregated in solitary, terminal, long-peduncled, disciform glomerule, 1-1.5 cm across. Involucre c. 4 mm long, tubular-campanulate, lobes purplish. Flowers white, bisexual, c. 4 mm long, tubular-campanulate; lobes 5, ovate, acute. Stamens 5, included. Ovary oblong. Achenes c. 3 mm long, compressed or 3-angled, black, weakly ribbed.
